TEACHER
Welcome to my piano and music theory teaching website!
My name is Dani and I have been playing piano for nearly 20 years and hold AMEB Grade 8 Comprehensive Piano and Grade 4 Theory of Music qualifications, achieved with honors. With over five years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages and learning cabilities, including those with ADHD and autism.
Currently, I am pursuing a Certificate of Music Performance for piano (CMus) and preparing for my AMEB Grade 5 Theory of Music exams. My passion for piano and music drives me to inspire others, fostering a love for music and helping students reach their full potential in an engaging and supportive environment.
Whether you're a beginner or looking to deepen your skills, I look forward to guiding you on your musical journey!
My teaching approach is personalised and flexible, designed to nurture each student’s unique musical journey.
I focus on building a solid foundation in technique, theory, and performance skills, while fostering a love for music and encouraging creativity. By tailoring lessons to suit individual learning styles, interests, and goals, I ensure that every student feels supported, confident, and inspired.
Whether it’s mastering classical repertoire, exploring contemporary pieces, or preparing for exams, my aim is to create a positive and engaging environment where students can thrive and take pride in their progress.
My Teaching Philosophy
My Musical Journey
I began learning piano at the age of six and have never looked back. Over the years, I have completed my comprehensive piano and music theory exams and continue to expand my knowledge and skills through further study.
My teaching journey began over five years ago, starting with tutoring music, which naturally progressed into teaching both privately and at a primary school. I've had the privilege of working with students of all ages and learning abilities, tailoring my approach to suit each individual.
Music has always been an integral part of my life, and it’s my passion for sharing this art form that inspires my teaching. Seeing a student’s confidence grow as they master a new piece or concept is incredibly rewarding, and I am committed to fostering a love for music in others.
